Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol is a 2011 action spy movie, and the fourth installment in the Mission: Impossible series. It stars Tom Cruise, who reprises his role of IMF Agent Ethan Hunt, and is director Brad Bird’s first live-action film. The IMF is shut down when it’s caught up in the intimidation of the Kremlin, causing Ethan Hunt and his new players to go rogue to clear their organization’s name. Ghost Protocol was written by André Nemec and Josh Appelbaum, and produced by Cruise, J. J. Abrams and Bryan Burk. It is the first MI film not produced by Paula Wagner, and the first of the series to be partially filmed using IMAX cameras.
