Starring John Cusack, Amanda Peet, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Thandie Newton and Oliver Platt, 2012 was one of the most awaited releases of the year. Awesome star cast, cheesy dialogues, excellent special effects and last but not the least, impeccable direction has made this movie so successful. The storyline is shallow but yet there is an attraction for the viewers.
A film like 2012 is sure to make a mark on your mind. Starting from the story to the characters, every attribute of the movie is worth noticing. Every character had individuality and an impressive persona. The best part of the movie is that all the actors performed equally well. Each character was portrayed with ease and perfection making the theme lesser important.
Directed by Roland Emmerich of Independence Day and Day After Tomorrow fame, the movie is filled with visual thrills. Emmerich had always made his movies larger than life and splashy. His style of film- making is very unique and easily detectable. 2012 is not an exception as you can very well feel the touches of Emmerich in every scene of the movie.
